Line an 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Heat a large non-stick pan. Add the sesame seeds and pecans to the pan and toast them until fragrant on medium/high heat. This will take around 5 minutes. Stir frequently and be careful not to burn it!
Add the maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt to the pan and stir the mixture until it's well combined.
Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and spread it out evenly and press it down.
Transfer the pan to the freezer and freeze it for around 20 minutes. Check on it after 20 minutes. If it still seems a bit soft, return it to the freezer to chill for a few additional minutes.
When it's firm enough, lift the parchment paper out of the pan. Use a sharp knife to slice it into squares.
Serve immediately or store in the fridge until serving.
