Vegan Sesame Snaps with Pecans

These delicious sesame snaps are vegan and so healthy! They're filled with minerals and you'll love the taste of this sweet and salty treat!

  • 1 cup white sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • Line an 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside. 
  • Heat a large non-stick pan. Add the sesame seeds and pecans to the pan and toast them until fragrant on medium/high heat. This will take around 5 minutes. Stir frequently and be careful not to burn it!
  • Add the maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt to the pan and stir the mixture until it's well combined. 
  • Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and spread it out evenly and press it down. 
  • Transfer the pan to the freezer and freeze it for around 20 minutes. Check on it after 20 minutes. If it still seems a bit soft, return it to the freezer to chill for a few additional minutes. 
  • When it's firm enough, lift the parchment paper out of the pan. Use a sharp knife to slice it into squares. 
  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge until serving.
