Carrot Cake Smoothie

With Easter around the corner, I wanted to make a light, healthy Easter inspired meal. I love rich, creamy smoothies, so I made a Vegan Carrot Cake Smoothie! This smoothie has all of the flavours of carrot cake, made into a quick, easy, and healthy smoothie.

This carrot cake smoothie is loaded with healthy fats as well as protein from the walnuts and almond butter. I love incorporating veggies into my smoothies when I can. It’s easy to add greens such as spinach and kale to most smoothie recipes, but I find it fun to switch it up and use other fun veggies, like carrots! This is a really kid-friendly smoothie and is perfect for getting little ones to eat more veggies. They’ll love the wild orange colour and the carrot cake flavour! You can use either walnuts or pecans for this recipe. But options still yield a delicious carrot cake taste, and they’re both super healthy. I like walnuts the best in this recipe but feel free to choose your favourite!



Carrot Cake Smothie

A healthy, dessert inspired smoothie that has all of the flavours of carrot cake, without all of the calories, refined sugars, and flour!

  • 1/2 medium banana frozen
  • 3/4 cup non-dairy milk unsweetened
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3-4 medjool dates or to taste
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 5 walnut halves or pecans
  • 3/4 cup carrots
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 4 ice cubes


  • Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth. 
  • If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add more ice. If you prefer a thinner smoothie, add more milk!
