The cinnamon gives your body a bit of warmth now that the weather is getting cooler and cinnamon is excellent for blood sugar regulation. If you’re looking for the flavours of apple pie but want to skip the gluten, sugar, and calories, try this smoothie and have it for breakfast or dessert!
This recipe makes a nice thick, frozen smoothie. If you prefer a slightly less thick smoothie or slightly less frozen, you can use either fresh apples and frozen bananas, or vice versa.
Apple Pie Smoothie
A delicious and refreshing smoothie for fall, or anytime of the year!
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 frozen apples (cored)
- 3 large dates (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp rolled or quick oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Blend all of the ingredients until smooth.
