Watermelon Slushie (Healthy and Naturally Sweetened)

This Watermelon Slushie with mint and lime is an incredibly easy recipe that is perfect for when you want a sweet treat on a hot day, or if you want to make a delicious drink to entertain guests. It’s also an amazing substitute for sugary slushies that kids typically crave. They’ll love the sweetness of the slushie, without having all of the artificial colours and sugars. Watermelon, lime, and mint is one of my favourite flavour combinations!

The method is simple, just blend all of the ingredients in a blender for about 30 seconds, then pour and serve. You can multiply this recipe as many times as you like (or whatever fits in your blender haha) to serve guests. Serve with a lime wedge if desired.

Serves: 1

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup watermelon, diced into chunks
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp lime zest

Directions

  1. Blend all of the ingredients in a blender for about 30 seconds, or until well-combined, but ice chunks still remain. Adjust sweetness if necessary
  2. Pour into a glass and serve immediately!
